shonDy particle-based CFD simulation software has been instrumental in our oil flow simulations and churning loss analysis, enabling us to optimize oil-cooling system designs for electric drives. Compared to other particle-based CFD tools, shonDy offers superior computational stability, a more intuitive workflow, and significantly lower resource requirements. It has proven to streamline our design processes and shorten time-to-market.

Preventing Thermal Failure in EDU Design

Preventing Thermal Failure in EDU Design

Electric Drive Units (EDUs) are sophisticated systems that combine electric motors and transmissions, operating under demanding thermal conditions.

Race Track Tank Sloshing

Race Track Tank Sloshing

Fuel-tank sloshing is the oscillation of the free fuel surface in a partially filled tank caused by rapid acceleration, braking, cornering, and curb strikes.

River Debris Management Simulation

River Debris Management Simulation

Rivers transport branches, logs, and man-made debris—especially during floods. When this material jams at bridges, culverts, or intakes, it restricts flow, raises upstream water levels, and accelerates scour and structural damage.

Navigating Puddles with shonDy

Navigating Puddles with shonDy

This case study demonstrates the capabilities of shonDy and shonMesh in simulating complex automotive scenarios, specifically a car navigating through a channel with speed bumps and water-filled puddles.

Car wading with shonDy

Car wading with shonDy

In the context of the automotive industry, wading or fording refers to a car moving through relatively deep water at a low velocity, such as crossing rivers or flooded roads.

Gear box lubrication at low temperature with shonDy

Gear box lubrication at low temperature with shonDy

Gear lubrication is crucial for maintaining efficient and durable gear systems by reducing friction, dissipating heat, and preventing wear and corrosion.
